How to use

Inspired by the iconic story of Rose of No Man’s Land, this reimagined composition pays tribute to the rose that flourishes where others fear to venture - a symbol of strength, grace, and the compassion of those who help others under the most difficult circumstances. The Absolu de Parfum amplifies Rose of No Man’s Land’s olfactory profile, revealing a more opulent facet with smoky intensity.

At the heart of the composition beats a trilogy of exquisite roses. Saffron, blackcurrant and pink pepper emerge first with a fruity touch, followed by a floral heart where peony intertwines with the roses. A base of smoky papyrus, dark patchouli and warm amber allows the fragrance to linger with smoky intensity.

Each perfume is inspired by places, feelings, or certain scents and smells that relate to them, such as Palermo for women, inspired by the city of Palermo in Sicily, and Bal d'Afrique, which draws inspiration from 1920s Paris and its fascination with African culture, art, and music.

Byredo's fragrances have come to life thanks to Gorham's immense creativity and unique approach to designing a fragrance. He keeps the formulas simple and avoids too many notes that may clash. Preferring fragrances with fewer notes, Gorham believes their existence is justified.
