Description

As ink seeps into a white sheet of paper, shadows are created. New worlds are invented. L'Eau Papier celebrates the power of imagination – a moment frozen in time when ink, paper and hand become one.

This moment, expressed in perfume, immerses you in the heart note of musk and its many facets. Musk evolves, changes, and manifests itself over time and from one skin to another, just as ink saturates paper, taking on its texture to create dreams and images.

In the L'Eau Papier fragrance, white musks are delicately broken by a rice steam accord, reminiscent of the relief of paper. This is joined by sparkling notes of mimosa, while a background of light woody tones hints at the basic raw material of L'Eau Papier itself.

In this eau de toilette, the perfumer used the Grasse mimosa, a variety that has been cultivated since 1865. In February, the hills around the town of Grasse bloom with downy yellow flowers, creating a stunning landscape that smells of sun, flowers, and honey notes.

Diptyque is a French perfume house which was founded in 1961. and acquired by Manzanita Capital, the London-based private equity fund, in 2005.

Diptyque was established in 1961 by three artists: Yves Coueslant (a set designer), Desmond Knox-Leet (a painter) and Christiane Gautrot (a textile designer).
The salon Diptyque was opened on Boulevard St.Germain in Paris. Primarily they offered home furnishings and produced printed fabrics. They also imported scents from England. But shortly (1963.) they added scented candles to the list of products by Diptyque, which became one of the main among their offers (and still is).

1968. the first Diptyque scent was launched - L`Eau, which is based on old English recipes of home fragrances. Three friends love to travel, the most of Diptyque scents were inspired by their trips.

Designer Diptyque has 103 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1968 and the newest is from 2026. Diptyque fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Fabrice Pellegrin, Olivier Pescheux, Daniel Moliere, Serge Kalouguine, Olivia Giacobetti, Desmond Knox-Leet, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, Akiko Kamei, Alexandra Carlin, Quentin Bisch and Cecile Matton.

What does “decanted” mean?

Decanting means transferring a smaller amount of fragrance from the original bottle into a Twistly sample atomizer. This allows you to experience the fragrance before committing to a full bottle.

Scent is personal, and what smells amazing on someone else might not be your thing — that's completely normal. Because fragrances are a personal care product, we can only accept returns on items that are unopened and in their original packaging.
